Billy Dale Flowers, age 87, a longtime Atoka, OK resident, passed away on Monday, July 31, 2017 at Atoka, OK. at 87 years, 6 months and 15 days. He was born on Thursday, January 16, 1930, to Lawrence and Erma (Stevens) Flowers, at Atoka, OK.
Billy graduated Sasakwa High School and worked Public Service Company before becoming a home contractor. Billy proudly served his country in The Oklahoma Army National Guard 45th Infantry Division during the Korean Conflict. He reached the rank of Sergeant First Class. He married Billye Sue (Thomas) on Wednesday, February 4, 1983 at Atoka, OK. They had 34 wonderful years together.
Billy was a member and Deacon of Atoka First Baptist Church for many years, 179th Military Police Corp, 45th Infantry Division of Atoka, OK Army National Guard, and Atoka Trails Golf. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his grandkids.
