Richard M. Adams, 74, of Kossuth, formerly of Oil City, passed away at his home Monday, July 31, 2017 following an extended illness.

Born April 14, 1943, in Oil City, he was the son of the late Clarence and Josephine Adams.

Richard graduated from Oil City High School in 1961 and attended Clarion University for 2 years.

He worked for Electralloy in Oil City for 34 years before his retirement.

On October 28, 1978 Richard married Rae Jean Ginkel who survives.

Richard was an avid hunter but his favorite sport was shooting skeet, he was a member of the Clintonville Skeet Club.

Richard loved his favorite dog rebel.

Richard will be missed by his loving wife Rae Jean, his daughter Devona Beichner and her husband Keith (Bud) of Kossuth, his son Tyson Adams and his wife Mallory of Cranberry, three grandchildren Scott Hepler of Fort Bliss TX, Sam Hepler and Allison Hepler both of Kossuth.
Also surviving are his sister Sally Delli-Gatti and her husband Frank of Fripp Island SC, and several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents Richard was preceded in death by his brother William Thomas and a niece Sander Boughner.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM on Thursday and 10 to 11 AM Friday at the McEntire-Weaver Funeral Home 504 East Penn Ave., Knox.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday in the funeral home with Pastor Dan Grimes of the Fertig's United Methodist Church officiating.

Interment will take place at the Brandon Cemetery in Cranberry.
