Service for Deacon Abraham Ortega Orozco, 73, of Bryan are set for 11 am Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bryan.

The Most Reverend Bishop Gregory Aymond, Monsignor John McCaffrey of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Bryan, Monsignor Tom Franks of San Jose Parish in Austin and Father Pedro Garcia of St. Ann Catholic Church in Somerville will officiate.

Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Bryan. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church and from 8 to 10:30 am Tuesday at Memorial Funeral Chapel of Bryan. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 pm Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Deacon Orozco died Saturday at Sheridan on Anderson. He was born in Washington County and lived in Bryan for 45 years. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, was ordained a deacon in the Austin Diocese in July 1984 and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. After retiring from operating his own company, A.O. Orozco Fencing Co., he was a driver for the Brazos Valley Transit.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gonzalo and Josepha Ortega Orozco, one sister Atanasia Orozco; one brother George Orozco. He is survived by his wife Aurelia Orozco of Bryan; five children, Joseph and Joanne Orozco of Bryan, Mary O. Vallejo of Bryan, John Edward and Pearl Orozco of Hilo, Hawaii, Carl A. and Christine Orozco of Bryan, and James C. and Lori Orozco of Round Rock. Three brothers, Lorenzo Orozco of Austin, Ben Orozco and Mike Orozco of Bryan; five sisters Marcos Vega of Snook, Lupe Arredondo of Somerville, Domatila Portales of College Station, Marcelina Maldonado of Somerville, Mary Robeldo of Austin and Phyliss Garcia of Houston. Eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
