Beloved wife of the late John Koester for 44 years; loving mother of Brian (Lisa) Koester and Rhonda Mendel; cherished grandmother of Sheena (Jeremy) Riedelberger, Marissa Koester, Madison Mendel and Lukas Mendel; dear great-grandmother of Jacob and Corinne Riedelberger; loving sister of Eugene Ell and the late Agnella Koester, Lucille Schneider, Anna May Kreder, Agnes Schlenke, Arthur Ell, Virginia Bethman and Bernice Sheppard; cherished daughter of the late Arthur and Cecilia Ell.
Gerry graduated from All Saints High School in 1943 and worked as a beautician for many years. She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church, where she was active in the quilting guild, the choir and the funeral luncheon group. She also worked at Plaza Jewelry and retired from the Fort Zumwalt School District, working in the cafeteria.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 3 from 4:00-8:00 pm at Hutchens-Stygar Funeral and Cremation Center, 5987 Mid Rivers Mall Dr. (St. Charles).
Funeral Mass on Friday, August 4 at 9:15 am from Hutchens-Stygar Funeral and Cremation Center to All Saints Catholic Church, 7 McMenamy Rd., St. Peters for Mass at 10:00 am.
Burial will follow at St. Charles Memorial Gardens.
