William W. Murphy, 78, of Clinton, Ark., formerly of Greene County, died Saturday,
May 14, 1994.

He was born November 22, 1915, in Wind Ridge, a son of D. Herman and Lucy Jones Murphy. Mr. Murphy attended school in Wind Ridge and graduated in 1934 from Richhill Township High School. He lived most of his life in Ohio. He was employed in communications and retired from the Goodyear Tire and Rubber CO. after 34 years of service.

Mr. Murphy was Protestant. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Patricia) Domer
of Clinton and Judy of the state of California; a son, Michael Murphy of Akron, Ohio; and three sisters, Olive Meighen and Merle Reismuller, both of Waynesburg, and Frances Mitchell of Wickenburg, Ariz.

Deceased are his wife, Mary Alice Murphy; four brothers, Charles, Dennis, Robert and Thomas Murphy; and three sisters, Margaret Snowden, Mary Nelson and Nellie Serbic.

Interment will be in Wind Ridge Cemetery at a later time.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Behm Funeral Home Inc., Waynesburg.
