Marion "Buddy" Cain, 79, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2017, at his home in Chester, VA, with his niece, Dennelle, at his side. Buddy was born in Florence, SC, in 1937, a son of the late Bory J. Cain, Sr., and Maribel Waters Cain. He graduated from Florence High School in 1956, and from Georgia Tech earning degrees in both Textile Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. Buddy's interests were many and varied, including acting in theater productions, watching NASCAR races, boating and spending time at the beach with friends. He was also a certified massage therapist.He was a member of the United Center of Richmond Church. He was renowned for his "Hug Ministry" which he started and referred to as a way to get close to God. It was said by many that a Cain Hug "is a nonjudgmental hug that comes from the heart."
