Richard S. Hallmark was born to Eula Mae & Steve Hallmark, on their farm, August 21, 1932 east of Chickasha near Highway 19. Richard passed away at Shannon Springs Nursing Home, in Chickasha on August 4th.

He attended Union Hill School up to the late thirties, as the family moved to town in Chickasha. Richard continued his educating and graduated from Chickasha High School in 1949. Richard earned his merit badges as a Boy Scout and was promoted to Life Scout, as a young man, he enjoyed camping and fishing. He was married in 1950 to Geraldean Stillwell, Gaylord Eugene was born in 1952 and Daryl Wesley in 1953 to Richard and Geraldean.

Richard found his work at Chickasha Manufacturing Company in the early 50’s under Larkin Hart and as a tool & die worker, eventually became a foreman in the mill department, retiring there in the mid 90’s.

Both Richard & Geraldean served several churches in Chickasha area. Richard served as Sunday School Teacher, Youth Minister, Song Director & Deacon at various churches in Chickasha including Calvary Baptist, Trinity Baptist, Michigan Avenue Baptist, College Heights Baptist, Amber First Baptist & Sharon Baptist Churches. As Richard & Geraldean retired in the mid 90’s they move to Tennessee and served as Senior ministers at Marrs Hills Baptist Church in Lawrenceberg. While in Tennessee Richard was ordained a Baptist Minister.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Geraldean & his son Gaylord Eugene, his Brothers Eugene, Walter & his sister Naomi.

Richard S. Hallmark is survived by his son Daryl Wesley, two Grandchildren Daryl Craig Hallmark of Moore and Amber Cuyler of Lawton plus three Great Grand Children Jax Kalla, Baylee and Carlee Cuyler. Various nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 9, 2017 in Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mickey Brackin of Mars Hills Baptist Church from Lawrenceburg ,Tennesse officiating. Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery under direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
