Parents: Alfred G. Larimore (1831-1870; b. Green Co. KY, d. Clay Co., MO) and Sarah Jane McGee Larimore (1831-1868; b.& d. Clay Co., MO).

Paternal Grandparents: Campbell Larimore (1796-1843)(Rockingham Co., NC-Green Co. KY) and Martha "Patsy" Graham Larimore (1809-1887)(NC-Paradise, Clay Co., MO). Martha is buried in the Paradise Cemetery, Paradise, MO.

John is working and boarding w/David & Rebecca Utler. David Utler is a farmer and a minister.

John married Elizabeth "Betty" Houston on 30 June 1887 in Cameron, Clinton Co., MO.

PIONEER EDGAR CITIZEN PASSED AWAY

J.J. Larimore passed away at the home of his daughter Mrs. Louise Humphrey, Sunday morning at 8 a.m. Mr. Larimore has been in failing health for the past several months from a liver ailment [cancer].

He came to Edgar [Montana] in 1918. He was born Sept. 8, 1862 at Cameron, Missouri, where he resided until he came to Edgar to make his home with his daughter.

He is survived by two sons, Thomas Larimore of Edgar, Rohly Larimore of Seattle and daughter Mrs. Louise Humphrey, a brother Jasper Larimore of Grants Pass, Oregon, three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Smith's funeral home at Billings, with the Rev. Walter J. Feeley officiating. Hobert Brunsvold, accompanied by Mrs. Ernest E. Wild sang "In The Garden" and "Sometime We'll Understand." Mrs. Humphrey and Thomas Larimore accompanied the body to Cameron, Missouri for interment.

Note: John's brothers and sister settled in Oregon: George C. Larimore, Jackson Co.; Sarah Caroline Larimore Lingenfelter, Washington Co.; and Jasper Newton Larimore, Josephine Co. Two other brothers, William G. and Thomas A. remained in Missouri.
