Janett, 80, died at 6:00 a.m., at St. Rita’s Medical Center.

She was the daughter of Thomas P. and Gladys (Stamm) Stone. In Jun of 1976, she married Eldon 'Jack' Meeker, renewing their vows on Dec 6, 2002.

Surviving are nine children: Mary (Stoney ) Luikart, Sweetwater, TN, Tom and Jeff Temple, both Marion, Jamie (Megan) and Tim Meeker, both Lima, Michael (Janet ) Meeker and Cindy (Terry) Simpson, both Elida, Greg Meeker, Toledo, and David Meeker; and multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Deceased are a daughter Claira Kilgore; and three sisters: Wanda Chapman, Shirley Rogers and Vivian Hindman.

She had worked for the University of Northwestern Ohio for more than 15 years as a cook until she retired because she could no longer work due to her health issues. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post # 96. She loved to garden and plant flowers and she also loved to cook. She will be remembered as never knowing a stranger.

Services will be at Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services, Shawnee Chapel. Burial will be in Elida Greenlawn Cemetery following the service.
