Ronald F. Clifford, 79, of Cicero, beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend passed away Saturday at the Van Duyn Nursing Home after a long journey with Alzheimer's. Ronnie was born October 7, 1937 in Syracuse, New York. On September 18, 1964 he married the former Sudie Mae Daniels of Fayetteville, North Carolina. Ronnie was employed by the John Deere Company for 30 years. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, bowling and watching sports on TV. He was a Giants fan all his life. Ronnie is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Sudie, his son Ronnie Keith and daughter-in-law Amy Clifford, grandson Daniel and granddaughter Erin all of Cicero, NY and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff on three North for the special care given to Ronnie on this long journey. Funeral services will be 7:00 pm Thursday, August 10, 2017 at the Kreuger Funeral Home, 2619 Brewerton Rd. Mattydale. Visitation will be 4-7 pm Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service. A graveside service will be at 11:00 am Friday, August 11, 2017 in Oakwood Cemetery, Syracuse. Flowers are welcome or in lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of New York, 441 W. Kirkpatrick St., Syracuse. Ayer & Zimmer Funeral Home, Cazenovia is in charge of arrangements.
