Harry A. Adams, age 92, of Wilmington, DE passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2016.

Harry was born in Gargatha, VA to the late Chauncey J. and Ruby K. Adams. He graduated from Claymont high School in 1942. He then proceeded into the military and was a Private First Class in the USMC. He was on the original charter for Hall-Burke VFW on Philadelphia Pike. In 1969 he retired from the Wilmington Police Department as Sargeant after 20 years of service.

Harry was a driver for the Bay and River Authority for Delaware and worked briefly for Delaware Motor Vehicle. In 1992 he retired completely and spent much of his time fishing.

Harry was predeceased by his sons; Glenn H. and Wayne A.. He is survived by his son Harry A. Adams, II of Magnolia, DE and his daughter Mitzi Adams of Claymont, DE, his sister June Marenko of Holly Oak, family friend and his companion, Eleanor Ann Hutson of Wilmington, 3 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild and a fur child, Ruby Delilah.

Services will be private.
