She was, widowed at an early age and devoted the remainder of her life to the care of the sick and suffering in her home town. She was revered and loved by all.
She was quite well known in Chariton where she had visited many times. "She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star and Daughters of Rebekah, and the National Federation of Business and Professional Women She was the last of her Immediate family.
Surviving to mourn the loss of her were sixteen nephews and nieces and many friends.
Funeral services took place in Princeton, Mo.
