Delores Ann Williams age 73 died Monday, August 7, 2017 in Yukon, Oklahoma. If you are reading this, I reached the end of my journey on earth; the sun has set on my life for the last time on earth. I was born on April 21, 1944 in a small two-room house in Crescent, Oklahoma, the first born child of Nina M. Kughn & Kermit G. Williams. I graduated from John Marshall High School; class of 1962 and later attended Oklahoma School of Banking and Business. I was employed for Kerr-McGee Corporation just over 30-years. I worked in the Key-punch department, in Banking & Treasury Department as the Administrative assistant to first the Corporate Cashier, and then the KM Assistant Treasurer.
I leave on earth brothers Howard of Guthrie and Ron of Bartlesville. Howard’s two sons; Mark and Ben, and his family, wife Jennifer and children Emma & Preston of Edmond. Ron’s daughters Crystal and husband Andrew of Tulsa and their twins Brett & Alayna, and Brooke of Bartlesville, and Ron’s son Travis of Ochelata, and his family of 4. A half-sister Carol and her husband, and family by marriage - Jimmy, Ben, and Laura Sue and their family, and numerous cousins.
I was blessed to have found friends like the Heckard Family who treated me like family. Mary, my BFF, was there as I faced many of my life’s joys and struggles. I certainly found lots of friends that were on my “Keeper List”, Including Donna (Justus) Winkler a friend from the 3rd grade. I was truly blessed with family and friends, and I have found the thought of leaving you difficult because I won’t be here to experience your pain and happiness that life will bring. It’s my pleasure to get to heaven and see Jesus the one that died on the old rugged cross for you and me, to join the family & friends that have gone before, and praise God I will get a new body.
I was preceded in death by my mother, Nina Williams in 1995, and 18 of my 40 cousins
This is not goodbye; it’s just a temporary separation until we meet again and just remember the wonderful words to the old hymn “When we all get to Heaven, what a reunion that will be.” And, until we meet again, may your troubles be less, your blessings be more, and nothing but happiness come through your door.
Delores died on Monday, August 7, 2017. Her final resting place will be at Oakland Knowles Cemetery in Crescent, Oklahoma. Graveside service will be on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 11:00.
