Boullack, Robert F.

Robert F. Boullack, age 90, a resident of Laurel Grove, Manitowoc was called home to enter into eternal life on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc

He was born on February 20, 1923 in Marinette, WI, son of the late Joseph and Lillian (Olson) Boullack. Bob entered the US Army in 1942. He fought during the Invasion of Normandy, in Northern France, Central Europe, Rhineland and Ardennes, (the Battle of the Bulge). Bob was awarded the Presidential Units Citation for Service. On September 20, 1947, he married Vera Klann at St. John St. James Lutheran Church in Reedsville. The couple enjoyed 65 years of marriage. Following his time in the Army, Bob went back to school and earned a degree in metallurgy. He was employed as a welder with General Motors in the Chevrolet Division in Flint, MI for over 37 years, retiring in 1987. Bob was a member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, Newtonburg. He was also active in his Lutheran Church in Michigan where he was an usher and an elder before moving to Manitowoc.

Survivors include his wife: Vera, Manitowoc, one son: Rick Boullack, Green Bay; two daughters and one son-in-law: Debra Lewis and special friend: Joe Cyr, Hartland, MI, and Angela and Michael Goessl, Valders; eight grandchildren: Cam (Rachel), Candie (Mark) Kristy (Paul), Heidi (Josh), Rickey, Jr., Tina (Doug), Adam and Brian; 11 great-grandchildren: Nikki, Nathan, Logan, Michael, Ashley, Haylee, Tyler, Autumn, Emma Jane, Isaiah, Zachary; one brother-in-law: Roy Knutson. He was also preceded in death by one grandson: Andrew Goessl; four sisters and two brothers-in-law: Adeline and Gus Liebelt, Evelyn and Merlin Zielicke, Doris Roeder and Rosanna Knutson.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at St John Ev. Lutheran Church in Newtonburg. Officiating at the service will be Rev. Victor Headrick with burial to follow at the St. John Ev. Lutheran Church Cemetery. Military Honors will be accorded by the VFW Otto Oas Post #659.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Monday, June 10, 2013 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, 928 S 14th St, Manitowoc from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM. The visitation will continue on Tuesday morning in church from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM.
