Mrs. Schmidt was born in St. Anthony, N.D., on Aug. 26, 1905. She had lived in Vancouver since 1942.

Surviving Mrs. Schmidt are her son, Elmer of Vancouver; daughter, Bernice Bleth of Vancouver; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Burial was in Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Oregonian, Tuesday, May 8, 1990
