Mrs. Pauline Butler Wilfong, age 91 years, of Jefferson City, Missouri, died Friday, November 21, 2003 at the Jefferson City Manor Nursing Home.

Mrs. Wilfong was born December 28, 1911 at Albany, Missouri, the daughter of William F. and Elizabeth Jackson Whittington, both deceased. She was married on April 28, 1930* at Albany, Missouri to Luna E. Butler who preceded her in death on June 9, 1970. On October 3, 1973 at Springfield, Missouri, she married Harold Wilfong who survives at the home.

Mrs. Wilfong graduated from Albany High School, Albany, Missouri. A resident of the Jefferson City area since 1967, Mrs. Wilfong was active in the Missouri Women's Legislative Organization, where her first husband, Luna, served in the Missouri State Legislature for eighteen years. She was employed by the Missouri Dept. of Revenue for many years prior to her retirement in 1973. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Albany, Missouri and was active in the Girl Scouting program. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed cooking. Her greatest love was her family and home.

Other survivors include: one daughter, Joan Pool and her husband, Charles of Jefferson City, Missouri; four grandchildren: Stephen Butler of Liberty, Missouri, Brenda Butler of Cameron, Missouri, Kim Pool St. John and her husband Phil of Wyoming, Illinois and Tracy Pool and his wife Michelle of Heraldsville, California; three great grandchildren: Elizabeth Butler of Overland Park, Kansas, Jackson and Ellie Pool of Heraldsville, California; one daughter-in-law, Margie Butler of Albany, Missouri. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

One son Eddie Paul Butler preceded her in death in 1999.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 25, 2003 at the Roberson-Polley Funeral Home, Albany, Missouri with the Reverend Ben Rainey officiating.

Interment will be at the Grandview Cemetery, Albany, Missouri.

Friends may call at the Roberson-Polley Funeral Home, Albany, Missouri from 10:00 until 11:00 AM Tuesday.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.
