Perry Daniel Gouge, Sr., 95, devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, August 13, 2017.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday at North Main Church of God, 803 N. Main St., Weatherford, 76086. Interment: East Greenwood Cemetery.

Perry was born February 15, 1922 in Weatherford to Bruce and Irene Gouge. Perry was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Gary L. Gouge; 3 sisters and 3 brothers.


He served with General Patton during WWII in the U.S. Army and was deployed to North Africa and Europe. He married the love of his life, Jimmie Hart, on November 7, 1942 and they were just shy of their 75th wedding anniversary when he passed.

Perry was the owner of Perry Gouge Fence business for almost 30 years. He was a very involved lifelong member of North Main Church of God and was also a former member of the pastor's council. He was a loving man with a big heart who will be missed by all who knew him.


Survivors: wife of almost 75 years, Jimmie Hart Gouge; children, Perry Daniel “Dan” Gouge, Jr., and wife, Emilie, Cheryl Ivey and husband, Earl, and Rhonda Guyton; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 5 great great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Baker, Edith Bright, and Linda Bradshaw; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.
