Orval Chester Schneider was born August 10, 1923 at Beebe, South Dakota, the son of Phillip and Rena (Krueger) Schneider. He died Sunday, August 13, 2017 at the Good Samaritan Society in Tyndall.
Orval graduated from Ipswich High School in Ipswich, SD in 1941. He enlisted in the US Army right out of high school and served his country during WWII in the South Pacific.
He met the love of his life and married Jeanne Hedlin on August 10, 1946 in Roscoe. Two children were born to their union, Vicki and Dallas. Jeanne died August 27, 1995.
Orval was in a partnership with his brother and father, Schneider Truck Line. He later worked for the local Farmers Union/Cenex, until he retired.
Thankful for having shared his life are his son Dallas Schneider and Renee Peters of Springfield and his nieces and nephews.
Orval was preceded in death by his wife Jeanne, daughter Vicki Callas and brother, Chet Schneider.
