David M. ``Tuzzy" Johnston, 40, of Edinburg, died Monday, March 6, 2006.

He was born May 31, 1965, in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, to the late Norman and Donna Jean (Paige) Johnston. Tuzzy had lived in Edinburg the past 15 years and was formerly of Ravenna, where he graduated from Ravenna High School in 1983. He was employed at the Watkins Motor Freight Co. in Edinburg and owned and operated the American Pro Cheer and NEO Allstar Cheer & Dance. Tuzzy enjoyed horses, boating, and was very much was a sports enthusiast and an avid Browns fan. He was very energetic and enthusiastic in everything he did, from being a nationally certified judge for the USASF, competitive bodybuilding, and everyday normal household chores.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Elizabeth "Liz" (Tarr) Johnston; son, Kyle David Johnston; daughter, Adrianna Grace Johnston; brothers, Norman "Bookie" Johnston of Edinburg, Keith (Kelly) Johnston of Newton Falls; sisters, Debi (Kelly) Williams of Ravenna, Dawn Pierson of Stow; and numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and -nephews. In addition to his parents, his brother, Mark "Joe" died previously.

Friends may call Thursday, March 9, 2006, from 4 to 8 p.m., and one hour prior to the 11 a.m. service on Friday, March 10, 2006, at Shorts Funeral Homes, Inc., in Ravenna, Ohio. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Park in Ravenna, Ohio.
