My maternal grandfather. He was cremated. I have his remains. When I go, our ashes will be mixed together to be used to form an artificial reef. Placement will be the needs of the Army Corps of Engineers of where artificial reefs are needed.

A note I sent to a cousin:
"Saenger History
Johann Petrus (John Peter) born abt 1807 Hambuch, Rheinland, Prussia, married: Anna 11 June 1832 at Sankt Johannes Katholisch, Hambuch Mayen', Rheinland. Story is Johann and Anna (called Mary) abt 1852 to NY, settled in Wisconsin for about 2 years and then on 30 May 1855 (99 years before I was born!)..settled in Mankato, Blue Earth Co, Minnesota. Their children were: Joannes Petrus (B: 3 Apr 1833 My 2nd great grandfather, John Peter), Nicolaus (B: 16 Oct 1835/36), Petrus (B: 17 Sep 1838), and Antonius (B: 5 May 1891). Made contact with 2 fourth cousins, descendents of Nicolaus, who about 1910 moved to California. My cousins live in Minnesota. Made connections with other cousins through Nicolas and Petrus...would love to know if anyone descends from my 2nd great grandfather, Joannes Peter and Antonius. Was told Antonius Family has died off. I know the 3 other brothers still have living descendents. With Thanks and help from my 2 fourth cousins, we take our SAENGER line back to abt 1750 in Bertrich, Rheinland, Prussia, Germany. Please note, many of individuals have also and still spell their names SANGER. My grandfather, Robert Peter Saenger changed to SANGER, because he got tired of telling folks to put in the first 'e'. He moved to New York City after returning from WWI and married my grandmother. He never returned to Minnesota. Hope to hear from any cousins out there!!!"
