Morris Freeman of Tellico Plains passed away Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015 at McMinn Memorial Nursing Home. He was a son of the late J.D. and Emma Lou Freeman andworked at Athens Furniture for almost 20 years and retired from the US Forestry Service. He was a member of Maple Springs Baptist Church and a veteran of the US Army.

He was 75.

Preceded in death by: his parents; infant sibling; nephew, Larry Freeman and niece, Teresa Rodrick.
He left behind loved ones: his loving wife of 49 years, Christine Freeman of Tellico;

Son and daughter-in-law, Marshall Allen and Annie Freeman of Sweetwater;

Daughter, JoAnn Freeman McDaniel of Tellico;

Brother, Lawarance Freeman of Etowah;

Sisters, Dorris Curly of Niota and Iris Evans of Etowah;
Six grandchildren, Justin Paul McDaniel of Englewood, Cristin Jo McDaniel of Tellico, Jeremy Donnie McDaniel of Tellico, Angel Lindsey Xena Bell Freeman, Alison Lynn Xena Bea Freeman, and Allen Lucas Xanzer Bond Freeman, all of Sweetwater;

Several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Rev. Vernon Webb officiating. The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6 at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in DeHart Cemetery in Monroe County.
