Peterson, Jean E.

Jean E. Peterson, age 76, a Manitowoc resident, entered eternal life on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at the Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.

Jean was born on January 5, 1941 in Chetek. She was the daughter of the late Mason and Genevie Candler Davis. On December 13, 1958 she married Duane R. Peterson at the Advent Christian Church in Chetek. He preceded her in death on April 16, 2006. Jean enjoyed crafting, sewing, reading, watching sports, baking……especially chocolate sheetcake, she loved flowers and watching her grandchildren playing sports. Jean also had a strong faith and was a praying mother.

She is survived by three sons: Doug (Tabitha) Peterson, Kaukauna; Brad (Betsy) Peterson, Cedar Grove; Paul Peterson, Manitowoc; eleven grandchildren: Krystin, Ashley, Jordan, Josh, Lindsay, Joel, Ben, Jalen, Sebastian, Mattea, and Marek; eight great grandchildren: Cole, Brooke, Bree, Rylie, Reese, Ryan, Beckett, and Roy; two brothers: Macy (Lorraine) Davis, Eugene, Oregon; Roger (Sheryl) Davis, Massachusetts; one sister: Joanne (Lawrence) Solberg, Grandview, Washington; nieces, nephews, along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Mason and Genevie Davis; husband: Duane Peterson; one brother: Arnie Davis; and one sister: Janice Weber.

Graveside services for relatives and friends will be held 11 a.m. Friday, August 25, 2017 at Evergreen Cemetery in Manitowoc. People who plan to attend should meet at the front entrance to Evergreen Cemetery off from North 18th Street by the old sexton's house at 10:50 a.m. A Life Celebration Social will follow at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center, 620 North Water Street, Manitowoc, located on the south property of the funeral home for relatives and friends from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. Friday afternoon.
