She was born in Zona, WV in Roane County on June 1, 1939 a daughter of the late Howard Brady Anderson and Gladie Mae Ice Anderson.
On June 28, 1973 she married Andrew Jackson Curtis and they celebrated 20 years of marriage before his passing on April 2, 1994.
She is survived by three children: Donnie Roush and wife, Sharon, Darren Roush, and Dee Bennett, all of Weston; three grandchildren: Allison Roush, Monty Hinkle, and Ryan Bennett; three brothers: Fred Anderson and wife, Barb, of Canon City, CO, Jim Anderson and wife, Ginny, of Pontiac, MI, and Ronnie Anderson of Buckhannon; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers: Gene Anderson and Jerry Anderson.
Alice was lovingly devoted to caring for her family and her home. She spent countless hours cooking, cleaning, sewing, washing, canning, and keeping everyone happy, healthy, and organized. And she would do it all again because the love of family was her greatest blessing and treasure .
Alice’s request for cremation has been honored. Friends and family will gather at the Orlando Cemetery for a Graveside Service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 2, 2017 with Pastor Bob King officiating.
