KENNEBUNK -- Priscilla C. Bowdoin, 81, a resident of Summer Street, died Saturday, April 17, 2010, at the Southern Maine Medical Center, Biddeford, after a brief illness.
She was born in Westbrook on Sept. 10,1928, the daughter of Jennis and Ruby (Sinclair) Cash and graduated from Waynflete School in Portland.
She and her late husband Warren ran the Bowdoin Drug Store and Gift Shop on Main Street Kennebunk for over 35 years, retiring in 1985.
After retirement, Priscilla and Warren traveled across the country with their motor home for several years and also they traveled on Cruises with friends.
She was avid reader.
She was predeceased by her parents, her step father, Arthur T. Jack; her husband, Warren E. Bowdoin who died in 1997; a son, Mark J. Bowdoin who died in 1981; and two sisters, Natalie Bevans and Lucille Hutchins. She is survived by two sons, Timothy W. Bowdoin of Biddeford and Dana Bowdoin of Kennebunk, three daughters, Kimberly B. Tuomi of Arizona, Stephanie B. Kornexl of Chattum, N.H., and Melanie B. Hilton of Kennebunk; a brother, Robert S. Jack of Kennebunk; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 21, 2010, at the Bibber Memorial Chapel, 67 Summer St., Kennebunk, followed by a funeral service at 1: 30 p.m. at the chapel. Interment will be in Hope Cemetery, Kennebunk.
