Funeral services for Wanda Kay Hood Smartt, age 59, of Cookeville will be held Wednesday, August 23rd, 2017 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Presley Funeral Home with officiating.
Interment will follow in Altamont Cemetery in Beersheba Springs, Tennessee.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 22, 2017, 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM and Wednesday, August 23, 2017, 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at Presley Funeral Home.
Wanda passed away Sunday, August 20, 2017 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, Tennessee.
Wanda was born Wednesday, May 21, 1958 in Cookeville, Tennessee to the late Isaac Thomas Hood and Vangle Christian Hood.
Wanda attended Cookeville Free Will Baptist Church. She was a resident of Signature HealthCare, and a patient at DaVita Dialysis Center. She enjoyed cooking, yard sales and especially Bingo.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Roy Smartt; niece, Tiffany Jensen; sisters, Lois Bradley and Joyce Ashley; brother, Hoyt Hood.
She is survived by: three brothers, Thomas (Brenda) Hood, of Livingston, Tennessee, Edward Hood, of Cookeville, and Roger (Pat) Hood, of Carthage, Tennessee; three sisters, Jo Ann (Mike) Magdalena, of Cookeville, Donna Berkley, of Cookeville, and Carol Tallent, of Smithville, Tennessee; brother in law, Ted Smartt, of Altamont, Tennessee; sister in law, Mae (Chester) Finch, of Altamont, Tennessee. She loved her "babies", nieces and nephews, Cody Young, Tracy Gentry, Amanda Magdalena, Seth Magdalena, Martelia Tallent, Emily Hood, and special child, Jenny Eldridge.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
