Sister Mary Louise served in parish ministry in Somotillo, Nicaragua, 1988-1998. She was the coordinator of a new senior unit at Maryknoll, 1971-1979, and also served in New Hartford, California, the Marshall Islands and Tanzania.
Born in Utica, she entered the Maryknoll Sisters in 1949 and professed final vows in 1955.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from St. Elizabeth Hospital School of Nursing in Utica.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated July 6 in the main chapel at Maryknoll Sisters Center, followed by burial in the sisters’ cemetery.
