The daughter of Floyd and Orpha (Robinson) Daniels was born January 24, 1937 at Parthenon, Arkansas.
Jo Marie lived in Newton County most of her life and was affectionately known as "The Flower Lady". She worked for over 20 years at Dogpatch planting and caring for the many flower beds throughout the entire park. She loved flowers and spent many 10 hour days working at the park tending to the flowers. She also had a greenhouse at her home where she grew flowers year round and she and and husband, J.H., would travel Northwest Arkansas selling flowers.
She was always very sweet and personable, making conversation with everyone she met. She had a beautiful voice and loved to sing. Jo Marie was a loving mother and grandmother, and cherished her family and spending time with them.
She was preceded in death by her husband J.H. Willey in 2007; her siblings, Leon, Jackie, Fayrene, Terry, Donna, Danny and Ray "Junior" and 2 infant siblings.
Jo Marie is survived by her son, Phillip Willey and wife Judy of Marble Falls; her daughter, Lisa Willis and husband Monte of Wayton; her brother, Shellie Daniels of Missouri and her sister, Sandra Gulledge and husband Bob of Arkansas; four grandsons, Jason Willey, Jackson Villines, Quentin Willis and Brandon Willis and many nieces, nephews, other family and friends who loved her and will miss her.
Graveside services are at 10:00 AM, Friday, August 25, 2017 at Wayton Cemetery with Pastor David Faught, Sr., officiating.
Grandsons and friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are the staff of Newton County Nursing Home.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 PM at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper.
