Funeral ser- vices for Charles Whetsel, 60, Portland, will be at 1 p.m. Fri- day at the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery. Callers will be received at the funeral home after 3 o'clock this afternoon. Mr. Whetsel died Wednesday at a Richmond hospital after a long illness. He was a retired employe of the Indiana Glass Co., Dunkirk. Survivors include his wife, Mary; six daughters, Mrs. Charles Shouse, Mason, II., Mrs. Howard Morgan, Pennville, Mrs. Jack Well, Fort Wayne, Mrs. Glen Newland, Portland, Mrs. Thelma Rouse, Celina, Ohio, and Mrs. Ernest Barley, Portland; three sons, Charles Whetsel, Illi- nois, Herschel Whetsel, Redkey, and Howard Whetsel, Indianapo- lis; a sister. Mrs. Hollis Younce, Hartford City; and 38 grand- children.
