PARKER, William Vance Age 59 of Portland, passed away Monday, January 10, 2011 at home. Born in Bloomsburg, PA on June 6, 1951, the son of Patricia Moyer Parker and Edmund Lyndsay Parker. Preceded in death by brother-in-law Jim Longenberger. Survived by his loving wife, Debra Louise Parker of Portland; mother, Patricia Parker and sister, Lynne Barbara Longenberger both of Bloomsburg, PA; sister, Pamela (Tim) Holmes of Bowie, MD; parents-in-law, James and Doris Doughty of East Peoria, IL; sister-in-law, Jennifer (Don) Andretti of Las Vegas, NV. Mr. Parker was a U.S. Army retired veteran of Vietnam serving two tours, 1969-1970 and 1971-1972, and was a Drill Sergeant at Ft. Dix, NJ between tours of duty. 1983 graduate of Bloomsburg University. Retired after 21 years as Civil/Criminal Investigator for the U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Labor-Management Standards. Mr. Parker was a Major in the TN State Guard Headquarters for 6 years, member of the MVPA Nashville Chapter, life member of the VFW, life member of the American Legion, Oath Keepers member, DAV supporter, NRA member, founding sponsor of National Army Museum and life member of HOG. Mr. Parker was the founder of In Country Vets Motorcycle Club. He also built an exact replica of the 5 ton Vietnam gun truck "The Untouchable". A Military Service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, January 21, 2011 at Sellars Funeral Home in Mt.
