He grew up in Omaha, attending Highland Park and Ashland Park Grade Schools.
As a young boy, Chuck developed his life long love of animals and participated in track.
Chuck married Deloma Strickland on July 1-1961 at Mosher Memorial Presbyterian Church in Omaha. They raised their family in South Omaha, Valley, Red Oak and Yutan.
Chuck worked as a manager of Cold Storage Facility, owner of gas station in Valley and Dairy Queen in Fremont, managed a restaurant in Wahoo and was a cook at Old Country Buffett.
He loved to train dogs, hunt and fish and raise animals.
He enjoyed western movies, reading, a good prime rib and dinner at China Buffet.
He had a stubborn streak and was convinced he was always right.
