Carroll "C.C." Carle, age 92, of 2306 - 9th Street, Two Rivers, died Thursday morning, August 24, 2017 at Harbor Campus, Assisted Living in Port Washington.

Carroll was born in Manitowoc on October 18, 1924, son of the late Charles and Hulda (Rasmussen) Carle. Carroll was a U.S. Navy Veteran, who served at Omaha Beach during World War II. On June 9, 1945, he was united in marriage to Joyce M. Doucett at Emanuel United Methodist Church in Two Rivers. Joyce preceded him in death in 1987. Carroll was a self-employed painting contractor for many years, affectionately known as "C.C." He was an avid fisherman; enjoyed deer hunting, camping, and in his later years enjoyed playing bingo; and also enjoyed relaxing up north at his cottage.

Survivors include his daughter, Connie Steffen of Manitowoc; son & daughter-in-law, Dale and Colleen Carle of Port Washington; four grandchildren: Rebecca (Steve) Morin, John S. Hagen III, Jared S. Hagen, Alyssa (Alex) Rauch; and two great grandchildren, Jacob and Madelyn. He is further survived by one brother & sister-in-law, Donald (Elerene) Carle of Manitowoc; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Gene Steffen; his twin sister, Caroline; and sisters: June and Shirley.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, 1506 18th St. Two Rivers. Rev. Kim Henning will officiate the service, with entombment to follow in Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, Hwy. 310, Manitowoc.
