CHARLESTON, Ill. — Leonard A. Anderson, 65, of Oakwood formerly of Charleston, died at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in his home.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in Harper-Swickard Funeral Home, Charleston, with burial in Resthaven Cemetery, Mattoon. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
He was born in Coles County Jan. 29, 1909, the son of Harvey and Ethel Janes Anderson. He married Ereca Freeland June 7, 1930, in Mattoon. She survives.
He is also survived by two daughters, Mrs. Emory (Jane) Giles of Charleston and Mrs. Don (Jean) Richards of Oakwood; his stepmother, Mrs. Helen Anderson of Advance, Ind.; one sister, Mrs. Charles (Lois) Huggins of Mattoon; three brothers, Kenneth of Garrison, Minn., Edwin of Silver Springs, Md., and Dale of South Holland.
Mr. Anderson was a retired postal clerk of the Charleston Post Office and a retired Charleston area realtor.
He was a member of the First Christian Church, Charleston.
