Barbara was a full- time mother to four daughters and later worked at J.C. Penny’s in Chicago for 20 years. In Kiel Barb volunteered as a teacher’s aide in the reading program and at the Kiel Public Library. Both positions brought her much joy as she shared her love for reading and books of all genre’s. Later she volunteered at St. Vincent De-Paul resale store in Kiel as well as the food pantry. Barb enjoyed delivering birthday food baskets to those in need.
In addition to reading and volunteer activities, Barb’s passions included knitting, needlework and crossword puzzles. The afghans, baby blankets and shawls that she created with her skilled knitting are keepsakes for her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and dear friends.
