Mr. Sidney Francis "Skip" Acker, Jr., 66, passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2017.

Born in Pickens County, a son of the late Sidney Francis Acker, Sr. and the late Emily Smith Acker, Mr. Acker was a 1968 graduate of Easley High School, received his bachelor's degree from Clemson University and retired from the pharmaceutical industry. He was raised in Easley First Baptist Church and was a member of Living Church of God in Anderson.

Surviving are a son, Sidney Michael Acker of Bluffton, SC; a daughter, Elizabeth Nicole Acker of Charleston; a granddaughter, Hunter Acker and a grandson, Harrison Acker.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Easley First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 11:30 AM until 12:45 PM Wednesday in the church narthex, prior to the service.

Family members are at their respective homes.
