Marcheta Bishop Mason 1926 - 2017
Marcheta, 90, of Boise, Idaho, died Thursday, August 24, 2017, at a local care facility.
Born in Emmett, Idaho, she was raised by her grandmother, Leona King, in Moore, Idaho, after the passing of her mother, Gwendolyn King (Myron Othel) Bishop.
She graduated from Moore High School and moved to Boise to attend Links School of Business. In November1947 she married Len Jones Mason who was from Rigby, Idaho, and was in the U. S. Army.
Marcheta and Len lived in several states including Indiana, Colorado, Kentucky, Arizona and Idaho, as well as in Germany.
They had two children--a son, Douglas and a daughter, Joyce. Marcheta was an excellent secretary and worked for Morrison-Knudsen Co., the Veterans Administration and Idaho Fish & Game. Marcheta liked to paint, sew/quilt and read.
Marcheta was preceded in death by her husband, Len, and her parents and grandmother.
Survivors include her son, Douglas (Patricia Stewart) of Sammamish, WA; daughter, Joyce (Dave) Wells of Boise; and her grandson, Mike (Kimberly Miller) Wells of Maryland.
Cremation was by Cremation Society of Idaho and Marcheta will be inurned with her husband at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery in Boise.
