George A. Minder passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 29, 2017, at his home in Palm City, Florida, surrounded by family. He was 93 years old.
He is survived by is wife of 67 years, Marcia Minder; two sons Bill Minder of Palm City, and Gary Minder, (Karen Minder) of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; and one daughter Jane Minder (Ginger Moore-Minder) of Lexington, Kentucky.
He was blessed with loving grandchildren, Chad Minder of Jacksonville, Florida, Theresa Hicks of Jacksonville, Florida, Kristin Stuard of Nashville, Tennessee, Abby Pledger of Helena, Alabama, Carly Minder of Palm Beach Gardens, Russell Moore of Lexington, Kentucky, and great-granddaughters Kaitlin Minder, Grace Hicks, and Audrey Stuard, and several nieces and nephews.
Born in North River, New York he served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during World War II.
He moved to South Florida with his wife and young son in 1952.
He retired from BellSouth in 1983 and moved to Whispering Sound, Palm City in 1995.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 10:00 am at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1454 SW Mapp Road, Palm City.
Burial will be at a future date in Lake Luzerne, New York.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions as a memorial be made to the Treasure Coast Hospice, 1201 SE Indian Street, Stuart, Florida 34996.
