Lona L. duaghter of Mr.and Mrs.Ed Foubert was born April 17,1901 In Iowa County,anddied May 22,1924 at her home in North English. On December 8,1920 she was married to Lewis R. Klever. Why this death messenger entered this happy home and severed the earthly ties which bound them together is impossible for us to say. Besides the parents and the husband there are left to mourn her death two sisters and a brother Gladys Strausser of Cedar Rapids, Ethal Dennis of North English and William a young brother who is still at home. The grandparents Mr. and Mrs.John Foubert of North English and Mr. and Mrs. William Chittick of Canada are still living. Besides these she leaves behind many other relatives and friends. With the exception of about six years of her girlhood days spent with her parents in Oklahoma she has always lived in North English and vicinity . Last February Mr. and Mrs. Klever moved to North English and planned on making their home. About seven weeks ago she became ill and since that time has been gradually failing in health. Last winter she united with the Pilot Grove M.P. Church, She has been happy in the confidence she had her Savior's love. Lona was a great home girl and took great delight in doing fancy work , great stores of which are left behind as evidence of her handiwork . Her pleasant,Cheerful disposition made association with her delight.
Funeral services were held at the Pilot Grove Church Sunday afternoon conducted by Rev. Roy C. Leeds of North English. Interment was made in the Pilot Grove Cemetery.
