Tommy is my pseudo-nephew, imp, troll, Capone. He was an imp as a child and that never changed. His nieces Sebrina and Ashlynn loved him like he was their best"est" friend ever. He really had a way with children. His mom was devastated by his death and he left us all with a terrible sense of loss and emptiness. Tommy died of a massive coronary at the age of 34. He had lost his dad the same way when his dad was 44. We miss you, you darn brat and wish you were still here to pick on us!
Love, Auntie ME

This is from the Graveside Service I did for Tommy:
Any of us who knew Thomas Archie Loebsack, knew he was basically, a little stinker. I can say this first because it's true, but also because I loved him and he loved me. I'll take that love away with me when I leave here today. Tommy had a dry wit that many people weren't sure how to take when they first met him. But, once they got to know him, and saw the devilish twinkle in his eyes and the way the corners of his mouth curled up when he smiled, then they knew he was a jokester. Tommy was an absolute original. He didn't hold with social convention or with political correctness, but what you saw was what you got. Uncle Lumpy loved his nieces, Sebrina and Ashlynn and would have gladly laid down his life for them without hesitation. He was that genuine. Like those who believe in a yesterday and a tomorrow, his mother and I knew he was an old soul. Tommy has lived before. I believe this time he has found the illusive peace that we all hope for when our time comes. He loved his mother Rosita, and his grandmother Catherine, very much. His family, those who were his blood and those he adopted were very important to him, even if he wasn't effusive about it.
Tommy thought he would live forever and had that fearless tenacity, that comes from deep inside. I'll never forget the little boy who had climbed to the top of a very big pine tree outside his house. He was up there hollering hey Mommy, hey Aunt MaryEllen, look at me! Then bump, bump, bump, bump, splat! He bounced down the limbs of that tree and landed with a thud. Not a scratch. How did he react? Was he frightened or scared? Nope, not one bit. It was everything we could do to keep him from climbing right back up that darn tree all over again. That was the way Tommy lived his life, right to the end. He was happy doing what he wanted to do and did it with his friends.
Tommy was a believer in Odinism which is the original, indigenous faith of the English people. Odinists believe in the basic tenants of "Faith, Folk & Family". For the most part this was Tommy, too.
We will all miss Tommy very much and we will hold him in our hearts forever. We wish for Tommy a peaceful journey to his Valhalla and beyond.

Eternal Spirit, Thou hast known it wise to recall Thy son Thomas into the Kingdom of Perpetual Light and Peace. We ask Thee to send forth Thy Angels to consecrate this resting place for the cast off body of our loved one.

Dust to dust and ashes to ashes, the earth receives its own, while in a more glorious form the Graduate of earth witnesses his freedom from earth's hold.

Until we again meet, dear brother and friend, may your blessings be multiplied. Where you are now, we too shall someday be. Take with you our love and faith in reunion; and wherever you journey, remember we are blessing you and living to be more worthy of your watchful assistance. Our spirit calls to you, "Lo, I am with you always".
Into God's love you are lovingly Released.

In the name of The High Father, The Deep Mother, The Son of Light and The Daughter of Mystery,
Amen and Blessed Be.

This is the poem from his Remembrance card and I believe it is how he wanted everyone to feel.

I'd like the memory of me
To be a happy one.
I'd like to leave an afterglow
Of smiles when life is done.

I'd like to leave an echo
whispering softly down the ways,
of happy times and laughing
times and bright and sunny days.

I'd like the tears of those who
grieve,to dry before the sun
Of happy memories that I leave
When Life is done.

He was not afraid to die he felt he had experienced every thing he wanted. It is those left behind that experience the emptiness of not having him here with us.. Rest Well My Precious Troll.

He was an unique person, he could draw really well and he was teaching his nieces as well, he wrote poetry, albeit a little dark, enjoyed the carnivals and would take Bri on all the roller coasters, and then do it again. I always said he could charm the birds from the trees and sell them back their feathers, he was a listener and his friends could call him what ever time and he would talk to them, he loved animals, cats, rabbits, dogs, and he treated them as humans if he was eating steak his dog at steak, and his cat, he had a dwarf bunny, he called her Becky, and would carry her around in his shirt and feed her lettuce from his lunch tray at school. He loved to play pranks, mostly on me his Mom, it's a wonder I never had a heart attack !!

He would cook, clean and take care of his Gram, and she is lost with out him. He marched to the beat of a different drummer with his dread locks, which he dyed different colors, he was a talented tattoo artist, doing a lot of free work for friends. I am sure he enjoyed his life and not long before he passed, he said to me, Mom I am not afraid to die, I have done everything I ever wanted, and 2 weeks later he was gone. What I wouldn't give to have him back with me, Rest well Sir Lumps-a-Lot !!

We are now coming up on his very favorite times of the year, Samhain (Halloween)Thanksgiving, ( he loved turkey & stuffing) and Yule ( the Christmas season)

He would get dressed and take his pillow case and his nieces and go all over the neighbor and come back with quite a haul of goodies for himself and the girls, the last year he took Trick or Treating here the girls had candy in the freezers until JUNE!!

He loved Christmas, the more the merrier, one year we bought 20 sets of lights and they had to be colored lights so he could decorate the old farm house we lived in, the fences the roofs and he wrote his name in lights on the main roof, he was quite a character ! ! ! And everyone misses him.
