Erma May Hippensteel 82, of Upper Mifflin died Thursday at her home. She was born in Carlisle on June 10, 1935 daughter of the late Webster and Esther Mae Weigel Armold. She worked for U-Wana-Wash Frocks and Ross Distribution.

Married to the late Carl J. Hippensteel who died September 2003. Survived by three sons Rick E. (wife Gwen) and Richard E. (wife Lisa) Hippensteel both of Newville, and Ronald L. Armold of Orrstown, and one daughter Brenda K. Pittman (husband Rick) of Newville.

Also survived by three sisters Marie Morris of Newville, Mary Crozier of Landisburg, and Evelyn Hockensmith of Newville; three brothers William Armold of Carlisle, Robert and James Armold of Newville; and seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, August 8th at 11 a.m. at the Egger Funeral Home Newville. Burial in Centerville Memorial Gardens, there will be a viewing one hour before service.
