Wanda Jean Andrews, 80, of Christopher, passed away at 12:28 A.M., Saturday, September 2, 2017 at the Herrin Hospital.

Wanda was a homemaker and had been a foster parent. She had also drove a school bus for Plano School District for over 20 years. She enjoyed quilting and gardening, and had raised peacocks. Wanda was also a girls softball coach for several years. She was of the Pentecostal faith and belonged to the Creek Nation Pentecostal Church in Mulkeytown, IL.

She was born January 14, 1937 at Royalton, IL, the daughter of Floyd and Lillie (Meadows) Cash.

She married Jessie S. Andrews in Mississippi on October 18, 1953 and he preceded her in death in October of 2004.

Wanda is survived by her four children - Martha (Leon) Mumaw of Baxter, MN, Arlanna (Carl) Fries of Christopher, IL, Jessie (Nicole) Andrews of Indiana, Renee (Rick) Bishop of Sheffield, IL, five brothers and sisters - Floyd (Sarah Jane) Cash of Sesser, IL, Rosalie Henson of West Frankfort, IL, Arlie (Doris) Cash of Royalton, IL, Lula Bell (Marvin) Boswell of Christopher, IL, Bernice Johnson of Christopher, IL, eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister - Lillie Mae Cash and one brother - Lee Roy Cash.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Pastor Marvin Boswell officiating.

Friends may call from 9 to 11 A.M., Tuesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Burial will be in the Antioch Cemetery at Tamaroa.

Friends may make memorials to the Creek Nation Pentecostal Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.
