Clara was born June 24, 1926 to Albert Marvin Baker and Clara Bingham Baker in Smithfield, Utah.
Clara and her family left Utah when she was a little girl because her father was in construction. She has lived in Pocatello, Lava Hot Springs, Marsh Valley, Terreton, and Blackfoot. Clara attended school in Fremont County, graduating in 1941.
On August 16, 1943 Clara married Gwylim Davis in Pocatello. He preceded her in death in February of 1992.
Clara operated a restaurant in Lava Hot Springs called “Edgewater” and “Clover Leaf Cafe” in McCammon. She also helped at the Senior Citizen’s Center for many years.
She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
In her free time she enjoyed cooking, crocheting, doing jigsaw puzzles and crossword puzzles.
Clara is survived by her daughters, Gwendodyn Ponce of Oregon City, OR and Marva D. Jones of Las Vegas, NV; 10 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gwylim Davis; son, Daniel Davis; parents, Albert Marvin and Clara Baker; and many brothers and sisters.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 15, 2017 at Hawker Funeral Home. Family will meet with friends and relatives for one hour prior to the service.
