Albert A. "Al" Cottom, Jr., 75, of Gladstone, MO, passed away Aug. 22, 2017. Al was born March 3, 1942, in Richmond, VA, to the late Albert and Marion Cottom. He graduated in 1964 from the University of Virginia with a BS Degree in Business Administration. He served in the United States Army from 1964 to 1968 going through Quartermaster School in Ft. Lee, VA. Then 2 years of IRR receiving his honorable discharge in 1970. Al worked for Hartford Insurance Company working out of the Hartford Philadelphia and Minneapolis offices. He was an owner 4 different photography shops in Johnson County that developed photographs and glamor shots. After selling his company's he moved to Gladstone area and worked for 4 different casinos as a dealer and pit supervisor.
