John Wilton was born in Crattstown, MS which I think was a community near Ovett, MS neither community incorporated. My mother, his oldest daughter, always stated "Ovett" when asked about his birth place.

John Wilton Walker, Sr., one of Waynesboro's best-known citizens, died unexpectedly from a heart attack at his home, Thursday, October 15, 1964. He was 71.
Mr. Walker was a native of Jones County and had resided in Waynesboro for the past 30 years. He operated an automotive business for a number of years and was a real estate owner.
Mr. Walker was a public-spirited person and contributed generously to the growth of Waynesboro. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, a Shriner, and had many friends who were shocked at the news of his passing.

Funeral services were held from the First Baptist Church at 10 a.m. Saturday, with Rev. Eddie F. Hicks, Pastor in Charge.
Interment was in the Waynesboro Cemetery, Freeman Funeral Home directing.

Father was John Lewis Walker B. 1850 in Alabama - Occupation: 06 Jun 1900 Beat 4 (Jones) MS - John L. Walker was a farmer.
Mother was Sarah L. B. May 1873 in Mississippi;
