Again the home ties are broken when dead came to Eliza Margaret Ramsey who departed this life June 11, 1927. She was born April 19, 1838 in Kentucky being at the time of her death 89 years, 1 month and 22 days old. She was married to Perry Keith in 1857 who departed this life March 8, 1914. To this union were born nine sons, Leslie, Frank, William, Felix, James, Perry, Benjamin, Dennis and Mattie. Leslie and Dennis with their father preceded her to the great beyond. She leaves to mourn her departure seven sons 24 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren and a host of friends.
She professed faith in Christ at the age of 15 years and united with the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Kentucky and lived a true Christian to the last always willing to help and give to those in need.
Funeral Services were held by Rev. Stock of Stockton and interment was made at Old Union Cemetery to await the resurrection.
