Mrs. Osee Claire Betts of East Lawn Manor died in Community Memorial Hospital on Sunday morning after five years of failing health. She was 79 years old.
Originally from Meigs County, Ohio born to Emmett and Miranda Jane 'Jennie' Paul Edmundson, she came to Marion in 1918. She was amember of the Salvation Army congregation and the Golden Ager group. She married Lloyd Rex Norton, who preceded her in death in 1955. She then married Ernest Betts in 1960, who also preceded her in death.
She is survived by a son, Kenneth P. Norton; and a daughter, Doris M. McCombs, both of Marion; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; plus a brother, Bert Edmundson.
