According to my grandfather's Bible, Green Tucker died on the date that this person died. I have searched records and I believe this to be Calvin Green Tucker, the brother of General Carol Tucker (my great grandfather). In 1850 Calvin Tucker was living in Stoddard county. That census does not list relationships but Head of household is Lovey Tucker and it appears she is the mother to Calvin, John, Carrol, Missouri, Ann, and Mary. (Carroll would be my great grandfather--General Carol Tucker). Calvin shows up in Dunklin County in 1860. In 1863 he marries Martha Jane Vaughn. He and Martha are still living in Dunklin county in 1870, 1880, and 1900 census. This Calvin Green Tucker and Martha Jane Vaughn are the parents of George Washington Tucker ( I have a copy of George's death certificate). Samual Tucker is living with Calvin Green in 1860 and 1870 census. He is the son of Green Tucker (as listed on his death certificate which I also have) but not the son of Martha. This is the Calvin Green Tucker who is the parent of George and Samual Tucker. The other Calvin Green Tucker who died in 1940 would have been this Calvin Green's nephew (the son of General Carol Tucker).

Calvin Green Tucker married Susan Like about 1852 and they are shown on the 1860 census with his Mother in the household. Susan died before the 1870 census.
