Alma Orvella Phillips Lambert
Funeral services for Alma Orvella Phillips Lambert, 86, of Cullman, formerly of Holly Pond, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2008, at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Layne Howard officiating, with interment in Holly Pond Cemetery.
Cullman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Lambert passed away Sunday, Aug. 3, at Cullman Long Term Care. She was born on April 22, 1922, in Altoona to James Monroe and Susie Green Phillips. She attended Northside Baptist Church. The family wishes to send a special "thank-you" to the staff at Cullman Long Term Care/Folsom Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, A.C. Lambert; four brothers, Herbert Phillips, Walter Phillips, Rufus Phillips and Virgil Phillips; and two sisters, Lilly Hartley and Pearlie Alums.
Survivors include four daughters, Jewell (Donnie) Tidwell, Brenda (Larry) Lovell, Charlotte (Ray) Pugh, and Beverly (Junior) Horton; nine grandchildren, Denise (Randall) Henderson, Kim (Jason) Flynn, Jeff (Terri) Lovell, Julie (Ford) Orton, Josh Lambert, Danny (Karen) Pugh, Misty (Jimmy) Fletcher, Stacey (Kevin) Davis, Daniel Richardson; 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, Calvin (Ann) Phillips; two sisters, Ozell (Alton) Robbins and Velma Couch; a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Northside Baptist Church's Faith Sunday School Class.
Pallbearers will be Randall Henderson, Jason Flynn, Jeff Lovell, Daniel Richardson, Josh Lambert, Ford Orton, Jimmy Fletcher and Ross Henderson.
Visitation was Monday.
