Monica S. Endries, age 97 a former resident of St. Nazianz, WI, died on Thursday evening, June 20, 2013 at the Chilton Care Center in Chilton, WI.

Monica was born on May 3, 1916 in the town of Eaton, WI, daughter of the late Anton and Anna (Stahl) Kaltenbrun. On February 10, 1968 she married Alphons "Funzy" Endries at St. Gregory Catholic Church in St. Nazianz. He preceded her in death on August 21, 1999. Monica and her brother, Ambrose owned and operated Kaltenbrun Mfg. together for many years. She was also a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters and a lifelong member of St. Gregory Catholic Church. Monica is the last surviving member of her 8th grade class and will be remembered as a care giver, as she took care of many family members and friends.

Survivors include one niece, Mary and Edward Olig, Valders; one nephew, Anthony Nenahlo, St. Nazianz; one niece-in-law, Ellen Schnell, St. Nazianz; three brothers-in-law and four sisters-in-law, Roman and Lenore Endries, rural Manitowoc; Alfred and Kethleen Endries, Pipe; Marjorie Bushman, Howards Grove; Melvin and Joanne Mueller, St. Nazianz. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anton and Anna Kaltenbrun; her husband, Alphons Endries; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Francis Schnell, Sally and Anthony Nenahlo; one brother, Ambrose Kaltenbrun; one niece, Elizabeth and Philip Lindemann; three nephews, Elroy Schnell, Paul Schnell, James and Janey Nenahlo; four sisters-in-law and four brothers-in-law, Loretta and Emmit Klusmeyer, Rita and Hank Wilke, Dolores and Leo Burkart, Jean Mueller, Leon Bushman. Many great nieces and nephews, great, great nieces and nephews, great, great, great nieces and nephews, other relative and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday June 25, 2013 at St. Gregory Catholic Church, St. Nazianz. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Patrick Nelson, S.D.S., with burial to follow in St. Gregory Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends on Tuesday June 25, 2013 at St. Gregory Catholic Church from 9:30 a.m. unto 10:45 a.m. The Christianson & Deja Funeral Home, Valders is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to all the angels at the Chilton Care Center, as well as Dr. Gene Tipler for the care and compassion shown to Monica and her family.
