A crypt side service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2007, in River View Cemetery for Albert T. "Bud" Capen, who died Feb. 22 at age 99.
Mr. Capen was born May 31, 1907, in Portland, where he lived all his life. He graduated from Washington High School. He served in the Army during World War II in Europe, including in the Battle of the Bulge. He worked for Portland Public Schools for 20 years, retiring as head of the audio-visual department. In 1939, he married Hazel I. Boyce; she died in 1986.
Survivors include his cousin, Betty Walker.
