Elmer A. Bubolz, age 73, of Reedsville, died unexpectedly on Mon. Nov. 16, 2009, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay.
He was born on March 11, 1936, in the Town of Rockland, son of the late Ralph and Lucille (Bratz) Bubolz. On Nov. 3, 1962, he married Elizabeth Dewane in Manitowoc. Elmer was a graduate of Reedsville High School in 1954. He served in the U.S. Army from 1960-1962 and worked as a millwright at James River Corp. in Menasha for over 45 years. Elmer was a quiet, kind and gentle person who will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his wife; Betty; his children: Loralei (Dale) Barnard of Reedsville; Rick (Brenda) Hansen of Clarks Mills; Bruce (Diane) Bubolz of Gilbert, Ariz.; Bret Bubolz of Reedsville; three grandchildren: Brad Barnard, Erica Barnard, James Hansen; two step grandchildren: Amy and Janice; seven step great grandchildren; two sisters: June Schmidt of De Pere; Linda (John) Fritsch of Sheboygan; two brothers: Harry and Ralph; and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and other relatives and friends.
Elmer was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, John Wagner; a son, James Hansen; a sister, LaVerne Bielke; and two brothers, Les Bubolz and Earl Bubolz.
Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, Nov. 20, 2009, at noon at Holy Family Catholic Church in Brillion. The Rev. Matt Simonar will officiate. Burial will be in St. Gregory Cemetery, St. Nazianz. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass.
The Wieting Funeral Home in Reedsville is assisting the family with arrangements.
